A correspondent says that a boy of nine years of age only, made his first appearance last night as a Rider, at A S T L E Y ' S Ampitheatre [sic]. His person is very proportionate, handsome, and pleasing. In his performance he displayed great ease, spirit, and confidence. It was surprising to see with what agility he jumped from kneeling to standing on the saddle with the greatest quickness while the horse gallopped [sic]. He also rode on one leg, holding his toe behind him with his right hand, and performed several dancing steps with an ease and gracefulness that seem to indicate he has been particularly tutored by Young Astley. Indeed such was the extraordinary merit of his appearance, that we think he will prove as great a phenomenon in Horsemanship, as Mr. Astley, Junior, himself.
