We hear a bill of indictment is to be prefered [sic] against Astley, for having the assurance to perform two Pantomimes every night, contrary to the laws of the stage. The second count states his having maliciously and wilfully taken to his own use and benefit, the best and most laughable incidents out of the most favourite pantomimes. The third and last count is, for having engrossed to himself crowded houses every night: To all of which Astley has pleaded guilty, and is to receive judgement at the conclusion of the present season, before he goes to Paris.
