THIS DAY a total Change will take Place at the ROYAL GROVE, and ASTLEY’s AMPHITHEATRE, Westminster-bridge; particularly an entire new and most splendid Musical Spectacle, rural, pastoral, farcical, whimsical, aquatic, rustic, operatical, picturesque, and pantomimical, called

LOVE from the HEART,

A Trial of Skill for a Wife; or, Theodore the Heart of a Lion.

The Burletta in three parts, in order to give time to replace the scenery and machinery necessary on the occasion, which, as well as the music, dresses, &c. are all entirely new, and the invention of a most capital artist; the stage will represent a river, on which will be introduced a

COMBAT NAVAL,                                  

Or, a Trial of Skill, Strength and Dexterity, in real Boats, in a stile quite new, and never performed in this country; the assailants uniformly dressed, forming two squadrons with the ceremony of crowning the hero of the day’s sport; which will conclude with a grand Regatta. The whole country, boats, barges, &c. illuminated in a manner entirely new.

The Characters of this Nouvelle, and most enchanting Piece, are as follow:

Pantomime Characters attending the Village Sports, or Regatta,

Harlequin, Mr. Parsloe; Old Man, Mr. Lawrence; Clown, Mr. Doser; Old Woman, Mr. Nicoud; First Columbine, Mr. Landsdale, Second ditto, Mr. Hangler; Countrymen, Assailants, Boatmen, Flag Bearers, &c. by the rest of the company.

The GERMAN PEASANTS;

Or, The HUNTSMAN’S TRIUMPH.

A JINGLING MATCH,

By twenty Candidates, and a most active Jingler, all uniformly dressed on the occasion. The winner will have a SILVER WATCH presented to him; the Exercise is to be performed in the Large Circle of the Riding School.

Immediately after the Jingling Match, the Entertainments will commence with the laughable Performance of the

DANCING DOGS.

With the Storming of the Castle, and the Attack upon the Fire-works the moment they are played off.

And in the Intervals, that amazing Phenominon

The WONDERFUL MUISCAL CHILD!

And the Incomparable Sieur BOUZILARICO, the celebrated Ventriloquist’s IMITATIONS.

To which will be added, a Pantomime, called

HARLEQUIN’S GAMBOLS,

A PARODY.

To conclude with Fete and Beautiful Fire-works.
