Extract of a letter from Rochester, Sept, 13.
“The Bellerophon, a beautiful ship of 74 guns, now building at Frinsbury for the use of government, will be launched the 23 of this month.”
Astley brings out this evening the new Musical Piece, a Sale of English Beauties of Grand Cairo, or the Caravan attacked by the banditti; also, a surprising Monkey (just arrived in England) which performs on the slack rope, in a manner quite new, the Coach-wheel, the ceremony of roasting the Pug, &c. &c. he will make his appearance mounted on a Fairy Horse, four years old, two feet eight inches high, and weighs only thirty-six pounds. Young Astley goes through the whole of his Exercises. Likewise this and Monday evening, the 10th and 18th September the Jingling Match by twenty candidates.
