Royal Grove Intelligence.—The new dance of Love and Valour, or ASTLEY’s West Indian, was performed for the first time last night, to a most crouded [sic] and elegant audience. Every part of it received the mist signal approbation. The interesting scenes of Lindor’s conquering his Rival, the Algerine Officer, were as capitally performed as they are striking in themselves. The affecting scene of the fair Creole going to fall on the sword of Lindor, whom he supposes was defeated, and drowned in the water, is one of the most pathetic situations we ever remember to have seen introduced in any dance whatever.
