POSITIVELY the LAST WEEK of PERFORMANCES

The WINTER AMUSEMENTS at ASTLEY’S AMPHITHEATRE RIDING-SCHOOL, Westminster-Bridge, on which Account the Exhibition will be continued every EVENING this WEEK.

THIS present EVENING, an extraordinary display of MANLY ACTIVITY; also a variety of entertainments never exhibited at this place, and which cannot fail giving the greatest satisfaction.

Part I.—HORSEMANSHIP,

By the most capital Performers in Europe, likewise surprising agility on Horseback; in short, the common saddle is converted into a theatrical stage, on which, notwithstanding the horse being on a good gallop, is exhibited Comic and Serious Dancing in the height of perfection.

Part II.—TUMBLING,

By several capital Performers; particularly a variety of Lofty Vaulting over mens [sic] heads, tables, chairs, horses, hoops, &c. together with feats of strength, &c. the little family of performers will o through their different exercises of posturing, the grand Turbillion Magical Column, &c.

PART III.

Woman in miniature, 24 years of age, 31 inches high, only 18 pound weight; and the little Conjuring Horse.

PART IV.

Equilibriums on the moving ladder; Polander’s performances; also Whistling the Notes, or imitating various Birds, Rope Vaulting, &c.

The Performers in the above Exhibition are Mr. Taylor, Miss Vangabon, Mrs. Griffin, Mr. Recher, Mr. Nevill, Mr. Babtist, Mr. Adams, Mr. Astley, and the celebrated

MASTER ASTLEY.

Also the curious DROMEDARY will be rode round the Riding School, by Mr. Miller, Clown to the Horsemanship. Likewise a View of Gibraltar; and another of.

MOUNT VESUVIUS.

The Vulcano [sic], commonly called the Bursting of the Mountain, is represented discharging Torrents of Flame and Sulphur, with clouds of smoke and liquid fire, in a most surprising manner; the whole scene is contracted by moonlight, displaying a view of the country round the mountain, beautiful beyond description.
