The places of public entertainment of this City are numerous and well conducted; and the ability of the Manager, and that of the Actor, seem to vie with each other. This tends also to prove, that the rage for Theatrical Performance was never more general than at present, which is, doubtless, the cause of this emulation—There are few Managers who join the abilities of a Director to those of a Performer; and fewer still, if any, who, like YOUNG ASTLEY, can mount the horse, as well as tread the stage. We are sorry, however, to find that this will be the last week of the appearance of this celebrated Equestrian.
