ROYAL SALOON.
YOUNG ASTLEY, always employed in preparing something new for the amusement of his Friends, beings out a charming spectacle to-morrow evening, intitled [sic] the SURRENDER of CONDE, in which the sufferings of the inhabitants, the distress of the garrison, and the conduct of the besiegers are admirable delineated.
The old Soldier has, it seems, been particularly assiduous in the preparation of his sketches of that important key of the French kingdom; nor has the Son been less careful in suiting them to the stage, in the art of which he stands unrivalled. Those acquainted with CONDE, and who were present at the Rehearsal last night, affirm that a truer representation of this much talked of place could not have been given; and that it is calculated to inform the Public of the manner of Blockading a Fortress of the enemy, shewing the steps usually taken to induce it to surrender.
