The greatest praise is due to the indefatigable efforts Mr. ASTLEY is perpetually exerting for the service of the public. While he was attending our armies in Flanders, we find he employed all his leisure to obtain a most correct knowledge of the places forming the feat of war, and arranging the most essential occurrences that happened in or near each place, for the accurate information of the public. He has now published the whole description of the Towns, &c. concerned in the War of Flanders, with plans of their streets and fortifications, in a manner that does his talents infinite credit.
