The victory of Lord Howe has already found its way to the Royal Saloon, a Piece, founded on that event, having made its appearance under the title of “Old England for Ever; or, the Glorious First of June.”—Mr. ASTLEY, sen. who is the author, is said to have made a journey to Portsmouth, for the express purpose of furnishing himself with those particulars of the event not to be found in newspapers, and only to be had from the mouths of those who shared in the dangers as well as glory of the day. Hence it is that the Manager of this Theatre is enabled to produce a performance worthy the attention of the town; and hence it is that the town, ever ready to reward the deserving, is willing to applaud and encourage the talents of the author, and the merits of his piece.
