(ASTLEY’s) WESTMINSTER BRIDGE.

THIS and every EVENING, until further notice, a variety of Entertainments, expressly prepared, and more extensive than any ever given in this Metropolis. A Grand Match of compleat [sic] Broad Sword, the Veterans in Service against the Veterans out of Service.

The Officers of the Army, returned from the Continent, &c. are most respectfully informed, that several very eminent Players, Professors, and Teachers of this most useful Art, are engaged to play. The Match to be decided by the majority of hits. To play in white uniforms, and with black varnished sticks, in order to ascertain the number of hits.

Preceding, for the first time,

A Trial of Skill, by Astley’s famous Pupils; and, for the first time, an entire new Dance (composed by Mons. Mercerot, called The Sportsman Tricked; Or, Killed or not Killed. Also, for the first time, a Comic Musical Piece, called, the Tythe Sheaf; or, Village Plot; the Dresses, Scenery, Machinery, Decorations, &c. entirely new.

The Peasant Hornpipe, and Flag Dance, on a single horse, by Mr. Taylor: Also, (for the first time) an entire new Comic Pastoral Dance, composed by Mr. West, (who makes his first appearance,) called Cymon and Iphigenia.
