GRAND EQUESTRIAN FETE, by the whole Principal and eminent Performers in the World.
AMPHITHEATRE. (ASTLEY’s) Westminster-Bridge.
Their Royal Highnesses the Price of WALES and Duke of YORK’s Servants.
Messrs. Smith, Crossman, Handy, Davis, &c. &c. with other equestrians, eleven in number, having entirely quitted Jones’s Royal Circus, are, previous to their leaving England, to perform a few nights against an equal number of Horsemen belonging to the Amphitheatre of Arts. This unprecedented event, Mr. Astley humbly conceives, will produce the most extraordinary amusement, in the Equestrian Art, ever beheld, inspiring these numerous unrivalled English heroes with the spirit of emulation, whose astonishing skill and dominion over the brute creation has greatly surprised Foreign Nations.
THIS present EVENING, and every Evening this Week, Dancing on two Ropes, one above the other, entirely new in this Country. After which, an Harlequinade, called THE QUIDDITY; at the conclusion, A GRAND CONTEST, or EQUESTRIAN FETE, followed by an Entertainment of Singing, &c. called THE VILLAGE TAYLOR, and other Performances, as expressed in the Bills. To conclude with a new Historical Pantomime, called SOPHY OF BRABANT. Immediately after the Pantomime, Sir Sydney Smith’s Escape from Paris, in beautiful Fire-Works.
