ROYAL AMPHITHEATRE.
YOUNG Astley is right to continue the present performances, because they are received with such general approbation. Mrs. Parker is an acquisition of the first importance; her action is truly animated and classical, and her dignified attitude would insure success to a piece of less merit than the Maid of Protugal.
We have witnessed, again and again, the famous pantomime of Quixote and Sancho, in which Laurent’s whimsicality excited so much applause. Johannot’s droll songs please Johnny Bull, and fill the pockets of the proprietor of the amphitheatre.
Much novelty has been produced, particularly a very excellent pantomime, which we regret came too late to be noticed until next month.
