This Day is published, price Three Crowns, complete mounted and coloured, or Ten Shillings in Sheets, (1500 fine impressions for sale in England; 1000 ditto for Ireland; 1000 ditto for Scotland; and 1500 ditto for Hamburgh and other Cities on the Continent: there cannot possibly be pulled off any more for at last Six Months, that time being necessary to prepare the Copper-plates for a Second Edition)
ASTLEY’s NEW, IMPROVED, and CORRECT FOUR-SHEET MAP, (CARTE GROGRAPHIQUE) on VOYAGEUR et COURIER GENERAL of the EMPIRE of GERMANY, HOLLAND, the NETHERLANDS, FRANCE, SWITZERLAND, the GRISONS, and the Northern Parts of ITALY, &c. containing Explanatory References in the English, German, and French Languages; also the Posts, half and quarter Posts, between the Cities and Towns; the computed number of Houses in, and adjoining, the principal Places; the direct Course of the Rivers, Situations of the Lakes, &c.—Notice.—To prevent serious mistakes, the purchasers of the above Map of Germany are respectfully informed, that it bears the Author’s name and place of abode. To the Traveller and Native it is unnecessary to say a word on its superiority; but to persons who have not visited that extensive Empire, it is highly important to refer them to the Topographical part of the Work in general, the number of Houses, and the principal, direct, and best Roads for the accommodation of the Public, the Army, its Cannon and Baggage.
