[pointer-finger symbol] Mr. ASTLEY, jun. most respectfully begs leave to announce, that, as the Benefits will shortly commence, he means, in order to conclude his Season with ever exertion in his power to please his numerous Patrons, to change the Entertainments (the new Comic Pantomime excepted) every MONDAY, thereby producing more variety than any Summer Theatre whatever.
THIS PRESENT FRIDAY, August 29, and To-morrow, Saturday, the 30th, will be presented, 5th time these two years, a grand Spectacle, in two Parts, got up by Mons. Mercerot, called THE AMERICAN HEROINE; or, SPANISH INGRATITUDE.—After which, never performed, a Ballet of Action, by Mr. Lasselles, in which will be introduced the most admired Reels, Flings, Stanthspeys, &c. called THE SCOTCH LOVERS; or, THE GRETNA BLACKSMITH.—In the course of the Evening, Mr. JOHANNOT will sing an entire new Song (written by Mr. Upton) entitled “Somebody, anybody, Everybody, and Nobody.” Also an entire new Song by Miss Gray, written by Mr. Upton, called “The Day of Marriage.”—A grand and pleasing variety of unequalled HORSEMANSHIP, by the celebrated Messrs. CROSSMAN and HANDY, assisted by the most numerous Troop of Equestrians in Europe.—The whole to conclude with an entirely new grand Serio-Comic Pantomime, arranged and adapted for the Stage by Mr. Astley, jun. and got up by Mr. Lasselles), called THE PIRATE; or, HARLEQUIN VICTOR. In the course of the Pantomime will be displayed, among a variety of others, the following striking Scenery, Machinery, Mechanical Changes, &c &c. 1. A View of the City of Algiers, the Triumphal Entry of the Pirate and Captive Slaves, with appropriate Banners, superb Naval Car, supported by Tritons, and preceded by a Grand Nautical Procession. 2. The Interior of the Grand Harain of the Dey of Algiers. 3. The Enchanted Faggots, and Fancy Bower. 4. External View of the Dey’s Palace. 5. The Serglio. 6. Inside of a Herald Painter’s Shop (England), with its transformation to, 7. An Old Cloaths Shiop, and afterward, into, 8. A notorious Tobacconist’s (with appropriate trickss [sic] metamorphoses, mechanical changes, &c. attaches to each scene). 9. Exterior of the Lyceum, Strand. 10. The Interior, with a Representation of Mr. Porter’s Historical Picture of the Siege of Seringapatam, (executed by the same Artist as assisted him in painting that celebrated production). 11. A View in the New Cut, Lambeth Marsh. [pointer-finger symbol] The shortest way from Blackfriars Bridge to Westminster Bridge, with the Tea Kettle House, and its dependant Machinery. 12. A Building on Fire. 13. The Tables and Chairs bewitches. 14. The Enchanted Basket of Flowers. 15. The Blue Bell’s Apparition. 16. The Gigantic Skeleton. 17. The Cavern of Revenge. 18. To conclude with a Fairy’s Palace, or Paragon of Enchantment.

Groves, Pugh, Blackmore, Spitzer, Pernotin, Timmias, and Assistants.
On Monday, September 1, another Change will take place, when, among a variety of Entertainments, will be performed THE DESERTER OF NAPLES. The part of Louisa by Miss SMITH.
