The fine acting of MR. Astley, jun. as Percy, in the grand spectacle of the Iron Tower, Laurent’s representation of Douglas, and Mrs. Astley’s sweet portraiture of the innocent Julia, may be said to depict, by the power of feature and expression, what is too often found wanting, even with the aid of the most beautiful language; a remark that was last night verified by the loud and incessant plaudits of a brilliant and crowded audience, who have only the present week to behold this inimitable piece, with the Pantomime of the Pirate, the Battle of Copenhagen, and other Amusements. The wonderful activity of Ireland must be seen to be believed. Hs [sic] fifth appearance will be at the Royal Amphitheatre this night.
