Puss in Boots, the production of Mr. Lonsdale, the excellent Ballet of Darby and Joan, and the fine and truly inimitable Spectacle of British Glory in Egypt, were, last night, the cause of crouding [sic] every avenue of the Royal Amphitheatre at an early hour. The beautiful view of the City of Paris, introduced in the Pantomime, beggars language to describe its merits; and such is the effect produced by a Fleet of the Line, and a legion of real Cavalry on the Stage, as to rank, like Ireland’s surprising performances, altogether unrivalled.
