THIS EVENING will be presented, by particular Desire, and for six nights only, a Pastoral Ballet by Mr. Mercerot, called The LITTLE TRADER. Principal Characters—Mr. and Madame Mercerot and Miss Johannot (only five years and a half old, a Pupil of Mr. Mercerot, being her 13th appearance at this Theatre. After the above will be presented, (19 time) a Grand Historical Spectacle in two parts, written by Mr. Upton, and produced under the sole direction of Mr. Astley, jun. called FAIR ROSAMOND, or, WOODSTOCK BOWER, pourtraying [sic] the exact Costume and Manners of the 11th Cntury, particularly the Return from France of Henry II. KING of ENGLAND, and his Triumphal Entry into London preceded by his Courtiers, Heralds, and a grand Military Band, mounted on real HORSES. Also a grand Procession of the victorious Army appareled in Coats of Mail, with appropriate Banners, Trophies, &c. &c. Fair Rosamond, Mrs. Astley. In the course of the evening various EQUESTRIAN EXERCISES. Also, Mr. Ireland, the original Flying Phenomenon, will go through his wonderful leaps, particularly over 20 men’s heads, nine large horses, a tilted stage waggon, &c. &c. The whole to conclude with (1st time this season) a comic Pantomime, with new Scenery, Machinery, Dresses, &. Invented and written by Mr. Astley, jun. called QUIXOTE and SANCHO, or, HARLEQUIN WARRIOR. In the course of the Pantomime will be introduced a Sham Fight by two Squadron of Horse, mounted by Warriors clad in Gold and Silver Armour, who will also go through various Evolutions of Ancient Warfare. Principal Characters—Mr. Lasselles, Mr. Whitmore, Mr. Gomery, Mr. Johannot, and Mr. Laurent; Miss Gray, Mrs. Weldon, Miss Hall, and Mrs. Mercerot.
