The celebrated ST. PIERRE, from the King’s Theatre in the Haymarket, and a Madame VOLANGE, from the Opera, Berlin, made her first appearance last night at the Amphitheatre, Westminster-bridge, in a new ballet, of a most charming nature, called the Rival Mexicans. The house, before seven o’clock, was crowded with company, and the reiterated bursts of applause with which these two great performers were received, in every way sets them down unrivalled at any Summer Theatre. The magnificent new Harlequinade of the Silver Star was again received with unbounded plaudits; the whole of the other performances were a change from the last week; and we must not forget to mention, that the French Company appear this week for the last time in London, in the spectacle of the Knights of the Sun.
