The benefit, in aid of the Masonic Society, which takes place this evening at the New Amphitheatre, promises to exhibit a display of fashion, illustrious rank, and distinguished character, that, were we but permitted to enumerate names, would not only surprize, but, we may say, from the merits of the inquisition, delight out readers, which, however, we think, we shall effect, by mentioning the number of persons now experiencing a weekly relief from the Society: one hundred and three windows, one hundred and forty children, nine orphans, seven aged persons, and sixty-seven in sickness.
