Among the various phenomena of this age there appears to be none which excites so much surprise as the Musical Child now performing at Astley’s with such universal approbation. Those who see him can scarcely believe their senses, and those who have not seen him will not believe it possible for an infant, not three years old, to perform what he is described to do. But we cannot wonder at this general incredulity, when such genius is beyond every possibility of being accounted for by the human understanding.
