Royal Amphitheatre, Astley’s, Westminster Bridge.
This present Evening, at Half past Six precisely, (8th time at this Theatre), a Military Prelude, called LISBON; or, Ruse de Guerre on the Banks of the Tagus; in which Pieces will be introduced a Sketch of General Massena’s quick retreat from Portugal, and the spirited pursuit and attack by the British Army, &c. commanded by the gallant Lord Wellington; also the glorious Battle and Defeat of the gallant Lord Wellington; also the glorious Battle and Defeat of the French Army under Marshal Soult, by part of the Allied Army, commanded by the Marshal Beresford, at Albuera. After which, the Grand Naval, Military, Equestrian, and Pedestrian Spectacle, called The TYRANT SARACEN, and the NOBLE MOOR; in which piece twenty Horses perform surprising feats. Divers Exercises by 12 celebrated Equestrians. To which will be added, the favourite Pantomime of HARLEQUIN’s AMOUR, or Jupiter and Europa.—Places to be taken at the Amphitheatre, from ten till three o’clock, which cannot be kept after half-past seven.—Half price at half-past eight.—No money returned.
