ASTLEY’S ROYAL AMPHITHEATRE—
Mr. WM. COOKE “Proprietor of the celebrated Provincial Colossal Equestrian Establishment,” has the honour to announce that he has become the Lessee of this Theatre, which henceforth will be under his sole management, and every possible effort will be made to sustain the high reputation this popular place of amusement has obtained. The Theatre will RE-OPEN on EASTER MONDAY, March 28, 1853, with an Original Grand Equestrian Spectacle, written expressly for the occasion, by E. Fitzball, Esq., which will be produced with entirely new and splendid scenery, costumes, and appointments, introducing a new dramatic company, and Mr. Cooke’s unequalled stud of highly trained horses. The SCENES OF THE CIRCLE will be supported by the most talented English Equestrians of the present day, and engagements have also been concluded with Continental Artistes of great celebrity, whose debuts will be fully announced. During the recess, material alterations and embellishments will be effected in the audience portions of the Theatre, and the utmost attention paid to those points that will be conductive to the comfort of its patrons. Stage Manager, Mr. W. West.
