ASTLEY’S ROYAL AMPHITHEATRE.—Lessee and Manager Mr. W. COOKE.—Increased attraction for the Easter Holidays.—New dramatic and equestrian company.—New spectacle and new stud of horses.-To-morrow (Easter-Monday), and during the week, will be produced the new grand equestrian spectacle in three acts, written expressly for the occasion by E. Fitzball, Esq., founded on principal events of hostile recent occurrences in Caffraria, between the British Kaffirs, entitled AMAKOSA; or, Scenes of Kaffir Warfare, with magnificent scenery, costumes, and appointments. In the production of this interesting and extraordinary spectacle Mr. W. Cooke has determined to spare neither labour not expense to place before the public a startling and truthful picture of the stirring events in Kaffirland, and the novel and difficult feats of the beautiful horses have occupied his unremitting attention for months past in training them to achieve. To be followed by the SCENES of the ARENA, supported by the most talented English and foreign equestrians of the present day. To conclude with a Popular Farce. Box-office open from 11 till 4. Stage-manager, Mr. W. West.
