THE Nobility, Gentry, and others, are respectfully informed, that YOUNG ASTLEY and his TROOP perform THIS EVENING, as will also the whole Troop of Mr. ASTLEY, senior.
A Musical Piece, (for the first time) called
A JOURNEY in the AIR;
Or, a PEEP at the FOUR EAGLES and FISH-BALLOON.
A new Dance, called
The STONE-MASONS.*
NINE TAYLORS at a FOX-HUNT.*
The most extraordinary Rope-Dancers, called
GENERAL JACKOO.*
The celebrated Monkey has been the admiration of the first Connoisseurs in the World.—Words can convey but a confused idea of this animal’s abilities as a Rope-Dancer.
TUMBLING and other EXERCISES by a capital Group,
the best in the World.
The TAYLOR’s COMBAT with his HORSES,
Commonly called
The TAYLOR RIDING to BRENTFORD,*
In which two Horses display a wonderful sagacity, one moment wild an ungovernable, tearing the Taylor’s coat, and repelling by force his corrections; after which obedience and vice occasionally take place in the one horse, and reflection and extraordinary sagacity in the other.
A Musical Piece, called
The LAPLANDERS.*
A Dance, called
The MERRY NEGROES.*
The MUISCAL CHILD, a wonderful Production of Nature. Signor FELIX, the celebrated Mandoline [sic] player, will imitate the Flagellet, and accompany himself Obligato, in a stile entirely new.
HOESEMANSHIP
In a manner never exhibited in this Country; particularly the first Part of YOUNG ASTLEY’s Exercises, wonderful and pleasing, and peculiar to himself, with those of his Pupil, the FLYING VESTRIS.
The other Parts of Horsemanship in a stile far superior to any thing ever exhibited, by Mr. Taylor, Mr. Lonsdale the surprising Clown, and the celebrated Miss Vangable.
NINE STRONG MEN will go through several surprising Exercises, exhibiting the real Venetian Amusements.
The whole to conclude (by desire) with a Pantomime, called
HARLEQUIN EMPEROR of the MOON;
And a TEMPLE of beautiful FIREWORKS.
