Since Young Astley has exhibited his wonderful feats of leaping over the garter, the ladies have installed him unanimously their Knight of the Garter, for he looks and performs it so well, that they all agree, none can be so deserving of the honour; when he is above the garter, they say he seems an angel flying into the feats of Paradise.
