The entertainments at the Royal Grove, Westminster-bridge, are uncommonly numerous, and replete with variety, viz. (by desire, for this week only) the exhibition of the dancing dogs, the new pantomime called Harlequin’s Gambols, the extraordinary performance of the musical child, and the mandoline [sic] player; Sieur Bouzilarico, the celebrated vantriloquist’s imitations of the trumpet, foxhounds in full cry, French horn, Savoyard, drum, and the chace and death of the wild boar, &c. the favourite musical piece of the Two Nannies; the celebrated minuet on two horses, Mess. Astley, (father and son); capital tumbling; the surprising monkey Gen. Jackoo, the unparalleled droll exhibition of the taylor riding to Brentford; Mr. Astley, jun’s. inimitable exercises on horseback, with the astonishing leap over the garter. The whole to conclude with a favourite pantomime called Harlequin’s Proof of the Four Elements; and the much admired scene of the Vauxhall Jubilee, &c.
