AMPHITHEATRE. ⸻Several new entertainments were represented last night at this Theatre. Mr. Astley performed with great applause his celebrated exercise of the Broad Sword. There was also performed a new burlesque Fox Hunt, which threw the whole house into a paroxysm of laughter and applause. It is introduced with some Taylors on their shop-boards, informing each other of a Fox Hunt which they have heard is going to be; they, therefore, determine to take some masquerade horses which they have up stairs, and go for once a hunting. Some huntsmen then appear in the ride with hounds and horn, and a good hunting song is sung well and characteristically by Mr. Coanell. The Fox is then turned into the ride, followed by a pick of Hounds in full cry, and our Taylors mounted en cheval. Being obliged to leap a bar, they tumble one over the other, which produces a most general roar of laughter throughout the whole Amphitheatre; so that from the very humourous effect afforded by this excellent burlesque, Mr. Astley, doubtless, will be most amply rewarded for his invention, and his continuance of it during the present week, which is his design.
