The truth, force, and splendor with which the Royal Escape from Paris is described by ASTLEY in the Royal Fugitives, evince, that all verbal accounts of it were weak, indeed, to convey any adequate idea of this remarkable event. ASTLEY has, to a demonstration, proved that it would only be justly represented by the said of scenes, characters, and stage decoration.
