We have received the following Amphitheatrical Intelligence from a correspondent:

--On Tuesday evening was performed a new musical piece called William and Nancy, or the Double Jealousy, and a new dance called the Spanish Marauder, composed by Mr. Astley, sen. It being the night of Mr. Astley’s (jun.) benefit, that house was uncommonly crouded [sic] with a most brilliant audience, part of the pit being thrown into the boxes. The Burletta was received with great applause, in which the performers exerted themselves with great success, particularly Mrs. Henley, whose style of acting and singing will very soon make her the counterpart of Mrs. Kennedy. In the officer’s dress she merited all the applause she obtained. The music, by Mr. Reeves, does his taste and genius infinite credit. In regard to the dance, the procession of the mortars and cannon was well dressed and splendid. The plot is striking and interesting, which was amazingly well performed. Young Astley never appeared to so great an advantage. His new dresses were particularly splendid and elegant, and his exertions uncommonly surprising and successful.
