UNCOMMON VARIETY.

ROYAL AMPHITHEATRE (ASTLEY’s),

WESTMINSTER BRIDGE.

Under the Patronage of their Royal Highnesses the Prince Regent and Duke of York.

THIS EVENING, TO-MORROW, Friday, 17, and SATURDAY, 18th of April, at Half-past Six precisely, a new Pantomime, in Ten Scenes, called

THE METAMORPHOSE;

OR, HARLEQUIN DANCING-MASTER, MILKMAID,

PASTRYCOOK, CHAIRMAN, SHOWMAN, &c.

In which will be introduced the two learned Lap Dogs.

After which, a grand Russian Military Equestrian Spectacle, in Two Acts, consisting of Twenty Scenes, interspersed with combats on foot and horseback, called

THE BRAVE COSSACK;

OR, SECRET ENEMY.

In which Mr. and Mrs. Astley will appear, as also the whole Company. The spectacle will pourtray [sic] uncommon evolutions of various parties of Infantry, Cossack Cavalry, Polish Lancers, &c. &c. and exhibiting an extensive chain of mountains, rocks, rivers, &c. also two squadrons of real Horses, under the most surprising obedience.

In the course of the evening, extraordinary Horsemanship, particularly by the Equestrian Little Devil.

To conclude with a new Comic Pantomime, called

OLD BELZEBUB and HARLEQUIN;

OR, TAFFY IN HOLLAND.

In which fourteen distinct Scenes of the most striking Views will be exhibited, viz.—Antwerp, Rotterdam, the Hagne, Herring-packers’ Town, Gorcum, Amsterdam, &c. &c.

Doors open at Half-past Five o’Clock. Second Price at Half-past Eight. Places taken at the Theatre from Ten till Three o’clock.
